THE CREATIVE MIND...

Some would say that I was born with a paint brush in my hand.

I didn’t choose to be creative or to paint; it’s just inherent in who I am…part of my DNA. Creativity to me is as natural as breathing. I can’t imagine life without a healthy dose of it.

Growing up in a small town near Minneapolis, the youngest of five kids, I quickly realized that I viewed and experienced things very differently then my siblings. First, I was an extremely sensitive child, especially when it came to music and art. Music has always touched me deeply to the very core of my soul. When I was a baby, my Mother could not sing lullabies to me, because they made me cry; as did music boxes or songs on the radio. Now I realize that there is an affinity between music and art. Both feed my soul…in fact, now I cannot paint without listening to music.

I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and started my career in Minneapolis at Target Corporation in their merchandising and advertising departments. After seven years, a chance business trip led me to Seattle …a city that seemed so mystical and romantic. After 18 years in Seattle working in the corporate world for Macy’s and Sony, I found myself craving more more creativity...OK…and more sunshine! After landing and living in Los Angeles for eight years, I’m now I am happy to call the California Coachella Valley - Palm Desert my home...where my creativity and innovation flourish.

My DNA is made up of a balance between "left brain" - strategic thinking and "right brain" - creativity. I have the ability to switch either side on/off or have both sides equally engaged.

I am happiest when both sides of my brain are engaged…so my life-long career in marketing satisfies my need for balance. I’m a Libra…go figure! By day, I conjure up Brand Stories, Marketing Strategies and Innovative Campaigns that lead to enhanced Customer Experiences.

During my free time, I unleash my true passions…art, design, fitness and cycling along the desert mountains for inspiration. Every day I’m in awe of the majestic beauty, ever-changing colors and shadows casted on the mountains, and I feel inspired to paint. I put 100% of my heart, soul and passion into each of my creations.
